Flag expression of the Scottish Lowlands distillery, Glenkinchie. A fantastic introduction to the region, Glenkinchie 12 Year Old has the distinctive smoothness and herbaceous flavors for which the whisky of the Scottish lowlands, with hints of stewed fruit and Sauternes wine along the way.
The ability of the Diageo group also lies in working as a team and not only bringing out the most important names, giving the possibility to distilleries considered minor - such as Glenkinchie - to appear alongside noble names, managing to express their own character and qualities. The malt from this distillery is gentle, enveloping and soft, relying on meticulous work in the warehouses to select only the best barrels.
TASTE
Soft, fresh and slightly sweet, it recalls autumn fruits in the finish hints of honey and peat.
