Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1996 is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky produced in the Scottish Highlands matured 23 years before being bottled in 2019, using exclusively first-fill casks, which contained Bourbon for 4 years. Maturation is characterized by the use of particular slow-growing American white oaks from the Ozark mountains in Missouri, which, thanks to their particularly porous structure, would give greater synergy between wood and whisky, enhancing the creamy character of Glenmorangie. It is released at the alcohol content of 43% vol in an elegant oak box.
TASTE: Citrus notes, vanilla, subtle notes of ginger, sweet pepper and oak. Soft and delicate finish, with almonds and pears.
AGING: American oak barrels from the Ozark Mountain of Missouri ex Bourbon.
