The Glenmorangie Distillery aims for excellence and for its rare productions it must have absolutely high quality raw materials. Starting with the exclusively Scottish barley selected for the distillery, proceeding with the best Tarlogie spring water and ending with the non plus ultra stills of Scotland higher than the norm in such a way as to retain even the lightest vapors. As far as maturation is concerned, the distillery has always used virgin or second passage oak barrels. 

The first year that the distillery used a new maturation technique was 1998. The innovation in the use of new charred American oak barrels can be found in this special edition of Glenmorangie 1998 Grand Vintage Malt.

The result is a whisky Elegant, smooth and delicious Single Malt.

TASTE: Soft and sweet notes of orange chocolate and dried fruit such as raisins and dried figs. Furthermore, on the palate there are also more spicy and piquant notes 

AGING: Charred American oak barrels
