Whisky Infrequent Flyers Auchentoshan 26 Year Old Cask 243
700ml BOTTLE
Infrequent Flyers Auchentoshan 26 Year Old Cask 243 is a special bottle, indeed one of a kind for a series of reasons that we absolutely must point out: first of all, the rarity is linked to the fact that the choice fell on a single cask, or a process of opposite selection than the vast majority of bottles of whisky on the market. The second reason goes back to the distillery of origin, or Auchentoshan, certainly not one of the best known Scottish distilleries, always far from the spotlight yet always able to be recognized and appreciated.
The last feature of this bottle is linked to the people who selected this barrel, namely the Infrequent Flyers, a brand of the independent bottler Alistair Walker dedicated to the lesser known and more complicated distilleries to find in the form of a single bottle. Side note, the aging is 26 years, from 1993 to 2019: a really important period of time.
TASTE: entry of vanilla to move on to fresh fruity notes, exotic fruit and licorice
AGING: ex bourbon oak barrel
