700ml BOTTLE
Isle of Arran 9 Year Old Adelphi Selection is a whisky particular because it is a unique selection of Adelphi, one of the most renowned and oldest independent bottlers. The history of independent bottlers has distant origins: these companies were born to select and trade barrels of whisky coming from various distilleries but with the addition of careful personal selection and distribution to trusted channels to provide an additional service to the end customer, i.e. to those who will buy and taste the whisky in question. Often the selections of these independent bottlers have different characteristics from the ones whisky officials of the distilleries, by choice and by opportunity, with refinements different from the usual or with the precise intention of relying on something different to give one's own version of the whisky of the distillery. Isle of Arran 9 Year Old Adelphi Selection comes from the Arran distillery and Adelphi has selected a single cask - number 2221 - filled in 2012 and bottled in 2021, with the alcohol content kept at 58.6 degrees to broaden the possibilities during the tasting phase. This whisky in fact it can be approached at full strength or diluted with water or an ice cube, in order to appreciate all the nuances of a unique and rare distillate, with the Adelphi guarantee seal to give security.
