James Eadie Benrinnes 9 Year Old is a selection of two single casks of whisky coming from the same distillery – Benrinnes – and which James Eadie has seen fit to combine to obtain this fantastic Scottish malt with young and lively tones, with crunchy fruit. The history of Benrinnes is about to turn two hundred years old: founded in 1826 it is today part of the Diageo universe, i.e. the company that most of all represents the Scotch Whisky in the world having in its portfolio about thirty different distilleries.
Benrinnes has built a fair amount of credibility in recent years also thanks to bottles like this, where independent bottlers can create whisky exciting. James Eadie was born as a beer production company in 1854 and slowly James - the founder - understands how it is possible to combine the production of beer with some good whisky Scottish, perhaps blended obtained from various barrels of different distilleries. Today James Eadie is based in London and maintains long relationships with many Scottish distilleries, managing to buy single barrels to make small delicious bottlings.
