Whisky James Eadie Glenlossie 14 Year Old
700ml BOTTLE
James Eadie Glenlossie 14 Year Old is a classic example of the splendid work that several official bottlers, including our James Eadie, do day after day, personally selecting some casks from well-known and lesser-known distilleries – as in this case with Glenlossie – to allow the passionate connoisseur to delve into some not very well known aspects or to be surprised with unique bottles and unmistakable flavours. Glenlossie is certainly not a leading distillery: founded in 1876 by the legendary John Duff, the distillery has slowly built a solid reputation especially in the blended supply whisky, including Haig of which he still constitutes a significant percentage today.
Today Glenlossie is part of the Diageo group with very rare official bottlings and only a few independent bottlings, which is why the rarity of this bottle is to be emphasized. As if that weren't enough, part of the aging - 13 months - is spent in a single European oak barrel that previously contained Sherry Amontillado.
TASTE: dense and spicy, notes of dried fruit, cocoa, cherries in alcohol, black pepper and ground coffee
AGING: in oak barrels and finish in ex sherry Amontillado barrel

Finishing | First-fill barrel of European oak ex Sherry Amontillado Hogshead |
AROMA | Intense and warm, spicy, notes of cocoa, dried red fruit, vanilla and bourbon |
Cartoned | Si |
