Whisky James Eadie Inchgower 11 Year Old
700ml BOTTLE
James Eadie Inchgower 11 Year Old is a splendid bottle of great gustatory purity, going to mature for eleven years in a single cask of the whisky distilled at Inchgower distillery. The goal of James Eadie - and of the other independent bottlers - consists in the possibility of selecting and appreciating single casks or small batches of casks from various Scottish and non-Scottish distilleries, allowing the enthusiast to realize for himself the quality level of not very well known distilleries.
In this case the choice fell on Inchgower, a Speyside distillery owned by the crowded Diageo group: having Diageo about thirty owned distilleries it is not possible to manage them in the same way, so most end up supplying whisky for the blended wines of the group, having rare opportunities to be tasted in purity. The first-fill hogshead cask has kept this distillate for over eleven long years.
TASTE: intense and spicy, white pepper and cinnamon, citrus and yellow fruit
AGING: in American oak barrels
