Whiskey Kinahan's Irish Whiskey The Kasc Project Batch No.3
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
The story of Kinahan's can be divided into two parts, the first of which has its origins in 1779, when Daniel Ninahan founded the alcohol distribution company. In 1845 the company received the royal seal The Royal Warrant and enjoyed some success in the United States thanks to the affection of Jerry Thomas - the most important bartender in history - for the brand. Unfortunately this success did not last long and, also due to the prohibition of 1919, the company was closed and the brand remained vacant, without ownership.
In 2014 the brand was taken over and the company returned to proposing whiskey with its own name: it is not a real distillery, but a selection of casks from all over Ireland that are combined and marketed according to the tastes of the team that selects the whiskey best and assembles them to his own taste, trying to take the aficionados back in time, to the decades when Kinahan's was drunk all over the world. This edition is the company's third attempt: an attempt that convinced us and that we want to share with you.
TASTE: Intense and oily, with an important fruity component but well balanced by spices and dark notes of caramel and brown sugar.
AGING: Hybrid oak barrel: Portuguese, American, French, Hungarian and chestnut oak.
