Whisky Kujira 8 Year Old Sherry & Bourbon Cask

500ml BOTTLE

Kujira 8 Year Old Sherry & Bourbon Cask is a whisky rather particular, as if the Japanese origin were not enough: it is in fact a whisky of rice, cereal admitted for the distillation of whisky but used here for the first time, after a few years of attempts, experiments and refinements. The Ryukyu distillery has been active for several years but has only expanded its offer with the a few decades ago whisky, taking advantage of the variety of indica rice and black koji from Okinawa to give life to this and the other products in the line. Aging – in this case for at least eight years – takes place in Okinawa, an island in southern Japan with a sub-tropical climate that speeds up aging and increases evaporation. The aging takes place in barrels that previously contained Kentucky Bourbon or Spanish sherry.

TASTE: intense and spicy, of acacia honey, dried fruit and cocoa beans

AGING: in ex bourbon and ex sherry oak barrels

Distillates
Finishing European ex-Sherry oak barrels and American ex-Bourbon oak barrels
AROMA Rich in dark and deep notes, dried red fruit, nuts and spices
Cartoned Si
