Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 2006 on Islay from Lagavulin, to be bottled in 2021 for the Diageo "The Distillers Edition" range; this 16-year-old Lagavulin undergoes a second maturation in casks that have contained Pedro Ximenez.

Distillers Editions are Single Malts that undergo a particular maturation process. Each of them, after having spent the normal period of aging in American oak barrels, undergoes a second (or "double") aging in a barrel that previously contained a fortified wine. The duration of this second maturation depends on the moment in which the aroma of the distillate is perfectly developed; generally between 6 and 12 months. 

TASTE: Sweet and delicious; peat fills the mouth. Salty notes, coffee, vanilla and a fruity touch follow. Very long finish, with fruit, peat and oak.

AGING: American oak barrels and ex Sherry Pedro Ximenez barrels.
