Protagonist of the story of whisky, especially of the more intensely peated one coming from the island of Islay, Laphroaig has recently completed two hundred years of life, a goal that can be justified by the constant quality of all the productions that come out of this distillery, in one of the most fascinating places of the world. To speak of Laphroaig is to speak of whisky with a marine, iodized and medicinal imprint, of great character: to best celebrate the Bicentenary of the foundation, the distillery has decided to add a bottle to its core-range, that is this 16 year, with unique characteristics.

The first edition dates back to 2015 and was in a limited number of bottles: the response was so positive that Laphroaig decided to permanently include this 16 year old among its references, an ideal extension of the refinement of the classic 10 year old, with a maturity major and the intense characters of whisky rounded in the corners and elevated by the long aging. Rich and smoky, as always.

TASTE: Dense and peaty, sweet notes of fruit and citrus, then spices, traces of wood and the typical salty and medicinal note of Laphroaig.

AGING: First-fill American oak ex Bourbon barrels.
