700ml BOTTLE
Longmorn The Distiller's Choice is currently the only official and regularly produced bottling from the Speyside distillery, now owned by the Pernod Ricard group. Longmorn Distillery was founded in 1893 by John Duff, who was forced to sell the new creature to James Grant after a few years due to large debts. It is said that Masetaka Taketsuru, a guru of Japanese distillation, worked in Longmorn for some time during the 20s and became so passionate about it that he tried to reproduce the shapes of distillation stills in his motherland.
Il whisky by Longmorn is appreciated for its important personality but is mostly intended for the construction of various blends, leaving little room to be able to savor this whisky in purity: in addition to various releases from independent bottlers, since 1993 Pernod Ricard has seen fit to offer an official bottling. After 15 Years and 16 Years, today is the turn of this Longmorn The Distiller's Choice, with no age statement.
