Meikle Tòir 5 Year Old The Original is one of the four bottlings of this peculiar line: Meikle Tòir (read mee-kuhl tor) includes whisky peated products produced at The Glenallachie distillery, a distillery now managed by the well-known Bill Walker, legendary Scottish Master Distiller with over fifty years of career behind him. Today Bill Walker decided to also give space to whisky peated produced at The Glenallachie distillery, a distillery recently very well known in the circuit due to the generational change, both in terms of packaging and above all the high quality level of the labels, but not as well known for the whisky peated products which in fact are not produced here. Or rather, it rarely happens that a peated malt is distilled at The Glenallachie, and Meikle Tòir is nothing other than the fancy name given for these whisky: this Meikle Tòir 5 Year Old The Chinquapin One is one of the four labels available today and ages for at least five years in virgin oak barrels of the Chinquapin type, after an extremely long fermentation of over 160 hours. The peat is approximately 35 Parts Per Million and the alcohol content is kept at 50 degrees to ensure greater expressiveness in the glass.
