700ml BOTTLE
The town of Oban is located on the coast washed by the Atlantic Ocean which has a distinctive influence on its character and aromatic structure. The barrel of Montilla Fino sherry counterbalances the salty notes of this Single Malt by adding vinous notes reminiscent of Chardonnay. A whisky single malt: fruity, pungent, very complex.
Distillers Editions are Single Malts that undergo a particular maturation process. Each of them, after having spent the normal period of aging in American oak barrels, undergoes a second (or "double") aging in a barrel that previously contained a fortified wine. The duration of this second maturation depends on the moment in which the aroma of the distillate is perfectly developed; generally between 6 and 12 months.
TASTE: Of great impact on the nose, with waves of fruity notes on a saline tide. Surprising in the mouth. In the final notes of sweet Jamaican coffee and oak. A pleasant malted biscuit effect on the finish.
AGING: American oak barrels and barrels of ex Sherry Montilla Fino.
