700ml BOTTLE
Oban distilled in 2007 and aged for 14 years, first in American oak barrels and then in ex-bodega Montilla Fino barrels. It is part of the annual Diageo release of the 2021 Distillers Edition range.
Distillers Editions are Single Malts that undergo a particular maturation process. Each of them, after having spent the normal period of aging in American oak barrels, undergoes a second (or "double") aging in a barrel that previously contained a fortified wine. The duration of this second maturation depends on the moment in which the aroma of the distillate is perfectly developed; generally between 6 and 12 months.
TASTE: Soft, with delicate but rich fruit, accompanied by marine notes; in the finish we find coffee, malt biscuit and oak.
AGING: American oak barrels and ex Sherry Montilla Fino oak barrels.
