Rum Ron Millonario 15 Solera Reserva Especial
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Ron Millonario 15 Solera Reserva Especial is a decidedly very particular rum. Its story begins when, in the early 1900s, a young family embarked on the art of growing sugar cane to produce sugar in a small town north of Peru. This family worked hard to be able to market their sugar and looked for an alternative method to exploit their cultivation and profit from it. Over time they began to understand that just selling sugar was not enough and they sought help from the Piera de Castillo family who, by purchasing the refinery, began to create a future prospect for this small farm. They began to distill officially in 1950 after a young man of the family went to study the art of distillation, also importing various very useful machines then to arrive at the exceptional quality of Millonario products. Thanks to Ron Millonario, Peru is now also an award-winning territory for its spirits.
Ron Millonario 15 Solera Reserva Especial is certainly one of the leading products of the Millonario range thanks also to the awards won as best rum in two consecutive years. Produced from molasses fermented in historic stills of the distillery, it then rests in ex-Borbon American oak barrels with the Solera Method. This aging cancels all the austerities of the distillate and transforms them into sweetness, into soft caramelized and pastry notes. A riot of spicy aromas and red fruits, while on the palate it is creamy, enveloping, buttery, engulfing every sip.
In addition to having this unique taste, it also has an iconic packaging. Each bottle is entirely covered with a typical Peruvian palm, the "toquilla", hand-woven that evokes the ancient history of folk crafts.
