Millionaire Rum
Ron Millonario is a small distillery but today it is one of the most famous in Peru. At the beginning of the 1900s it was a farm of the Piera de Castillo family located in a town north of Peru in an area that is divided between the sea and the mountains. The city is called Chiclayo and is an area of great archaeological interest due to the vastness and importance of findings concerning the Mochica civilization. A family-run business that rum the company marketed sugar directly extracted from their sugar cane plantations, then with so much dedication, effort and great sacrifice they started distilling becoming one of the most famous distilleries in Peru in 1950.
Ron Millonario for distillation still uses the old Scottish stills with which he has always continued to distill, for an incomparable process. The prerogative that characterizes Millonario rums is aging through the Solera Method using ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry barrels that contribute to making the character of these spirits unique.
