Royal Brackla 16 Year Old is a recent introduction into the Royal Brackla core range, that is the series of labels that the distillery offers throughout the year, in an unlimited edition, trying to deepen the technical aspects and production philosophy: the real representatives of the distillery, in this case of Royal Brackla. This Highland distillery is not very well known but has a rather important history: after being founded in 1812, already in 1835 it received the royal seal (adding Royal to the name of the distillery), thus achieving an important status as a supplier to the English royal family. .

The twentieth century is unfortunately a difficult century, due to the two world wars and also due to a lack of interest in the whisky of pure malt, with the majority of consumers concentrated on blended ones, of which Royal Brackla was a supplier and still is today. Slowly, for about fifty years, the interest in Single Malts has increased and Royal Brackla has decided to add its own core range to spread the name of the distillery and the class of products distilled here around the world.

TASTE: Vanilla sweetness, honey and caramel, with spices and dried fruit.

AGING: American oak ex Bourbon barrels and first-fill European oak barrels ex Sherry Oloroso.
