Whisky Smokehead High Voltage
CARTONED BOTTLE 700 ml
Ian MacLeod is a company that deals with buying and marketing whisky of other producing distilleries, putting their name and know-how on it to highlight unique products, whisky which in all probability would not be marketed by the producing distillery. For decades Ian MacLeod has been involved in going around the distilleries and finding these little gems, to give them the right prominence and to deliver the purity of the whisky without compromises. In this case the distillery of origin is unknown, the only indications relate to the island of Islay, an island known throughout the world for being the true homeland of whisky most peated and roughest in the world.
For strong palates, in short: but that's not enough. In fact, to make the experience unique, Ian MacLeod has decided to maintain an important alcohol content of 58 degrees, against the traditional 40 or 43 degrees, in order to emphasize the impetuous components of this whisky: High Voltage, to underline the rock and electric soul of this whisky. Age is not stated and this whisky it can also be used in mixing, creating powerful cocktails to say the least. The power of this whisky it remains well harnessed in an intense but still enjoyable sip, endowed with freshness and the typical amplitude of the most chiseled peat, where the various protagonists do not clash but give each other support.
We recommend this whisky certainly to avid consumers, especially peat lovers, but also to those who want to try an unforgettable experience, perhaps diluting it with a few drops of water. For the more curious, with high voltage smokeheads you can make incredible cocktails, always with a strong personality.
TASTE
Despite the high alcohol content, Smokehead High Voltage is a whisky that is appreciated for a long time, thanks to the dual personality. Impossible not to be overwhelmed by the spicy and peaty notes, broad notes of black pepper, to then give way to more delicate notes deriving from the aging in barrels, i.e. nuts and citrus fruits, especially lemon.AGING

AROMA | Of high intensity, the ample peaty and spicy notes immediately strike, with iodine, maritime and smoky sensations to act as an important side dish. Then there are vanilla and coconut notes, even if the most impetuous part dominates |
