Springbank 15 Year Old is a whisky of great value, coming from the small and industrious Springbank distillery, in the town center of Campbeltown, a few steps from the sea. The Campbeltown peninsula has an enviable history of distillation, with over thirty distilleries that have fought for decades, until today where only three distilleries remain, of which Springbank is certainly the main one in terms of history and quality of the malts that come out with this label. Springbank has always rejected technology and everything is done by hand, giving space to a workforce that elsewhere would be oversized but which here makes sense to exist, the distillery being part of the community. The company choices are clear and clear, leaving little space for actual business but preferring to follow traditions and propose few whisky but of very high quality, with a necessarily limited circulation. This Springbank 15 Year Old is the version of whisky of at least 15 years of refinement: each batch varies the recipe and there are no fixed patterns. The refinement takes place 100% in European oak barrels which previously contained sherry, the alcohol content is 46 degrees and there are no colorants or cold filtrations: a whisky of incomparable goodness, an obligatory tasting.
