Whisky Stauning Rye
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Stauning Rye is the first whisky marketed by Denmark's small craft distillery, Stauning. By combining the selection of excellent local ingredients, the founder of Stauning has managed to give a face to what initially seemed only a passion for whisky and which today has instead transformed into a small but interesting, varied and precise production. This Stauning Rye comes first whisky to have been marketed about ten years ago and since then it has always been present in the production of Stauning, thanks to the skilful use of different cereals (51% of rye and 49% of barley) making it particular also for the use of a flame distiller direct, more expensive and less controllable than current methods yet fascinating because it is linked to an artisanal distillation tradition that is fading today.
The refinement is exclusively in American virgin oak barrels, that is without having previously contained other spirits or other spirits as happens in most cases.
TASTE: Dense and fruity, sweet spices and cocoa for a long toasted and fruity finish
AGING: New American oak barrels.
