700ml BOTTLE
Talisker 43 Year Old Xpedition Oak, or history in a bottle: this bottle is unlikely to go unnoticed, a limited series destined to reach astronomical prices within a few years thanks to the fame - rightly deserved - that Talisker has achieved all over the world. Talisker is for now the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, an island in the middle of the ocean dominated by the forces of Nature, by abundant rains and by the ocean which dominates the seasonal cycles, thanks to which the whisky of Talisker has a strong and intense character. To add more particularities to this whisky, the aging of over 43 years is one of a kind, a rare age in general and even more so for Talisker, a distillery used to releasing bottles that tend to be young, with a few exceptions.
The 1830 bottles of this divine ambrosia come from American oak barrels and the alcohol content is important, a sign that no dilution with water has taken place. The peculiarity of this whisky it also resides in some of the staves of barrels that have traveled over 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean, an ingredient that symbolizes the union between Talisker and the open sea.
