700ml BOTTLE
Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 2010 on the Isle of Skye by Talisker, to be bottled in 2020 under the Diageo "The Distillers Edition" range; this young 10-year-old Talisker undergoes a second maturation in casks that have contained Sherry Amoroso. A successful marriage between peat and rich sweetness.
Distillers Editions are Single Malts that undergo a particular maturation process. Each of them, after having spent the normal period of aging in American oak barrels, undergoes a second (or "double") aging in a barrel that previously contained a fortified wine. The duration of this second maturation depends on the moment in which the aroma of the distillate is perfectly developed; generally between 6 and 12 months.
TASTE: Intense peat that combines with dehydrated fruit, cream and bitter chocolate; the peat fades into a rich malt with hints of heather. The finish is dominated by cocoa, vanilla and peat.
AGING: American oak barrels and barrels of ex Sherry Amoroso.
