The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Port Wood Finish is a whisky dedicated to those who want to explore a different nuance than usual, thanks to the particular refinement in barrels that previously contained Port wine. In the history of whisky tradition has preferred to use two different types of barrels (ex bourbon and ex sherry) to deliver the whisky final a certain olfactory and gustatory baggage, also trying to follow the will of the enthusiasts. In some cases, however, the Distillery prefers to give different nuances than usual: The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Port Wood Finish is in fact a whisky which manages to combine the spirit of Glenallachie – with a long tradition – with some ex-Porto barrels, rarely used for the whisky yet quite evocative.
