Whisky The Ileach Peated Islay Malt
700ml BOTTLE
The Ileach Peated Islay Malt is a more than adequate introduction for those who want to get closer to whisky peat of the Isle of Islay. The bottle in question is in fact from a distillery on the splendid island home of the whisky most peated in the world, even if the distillery of origin is not specified on the label and it is up to the taster to try to guess the origin. This happens quite frequently both with regard to blended and single malt bottlings whose origin is to be concealed, to avoid classifying the product a priori before having tasted it. What we do know is that The Ileach is a Gaelic formula to indicate "man of Islay" and the owner of the brand is Brian Crook, a man who worked for many years at Bowmore, the famous Islay distillery, so we could arrive at a obvious but rational conclusion. We just have to continue to investigate and taste this splendid selection of whisky.
