Torabhaig Allt Gleann Batch Strength Legacy Series is a very important label for various reasons: it is one of the first releases regarding the Torabhaig distillery, or the Mossburn Distillers project on the Isle of Skye: Having laid the first stone in 2013, there are It took four years of work before we could finally start distillation, having to wait a few more years to arrive at a suitable and interesting refinement. Until the release of the first ten years of refinement (i.e. in 2027/2028), Torabhaig thought of "warming up the engines" with an introductory series, the Legacy Series, composed of refinements that were necessarily shorter but no less interesting or of inferior quality. The objective - which has been largely achieved - is to introduce the characteristics of Torabhaig malt, presenting the distillery to the rest of the globe and trying to intercept future fans and enthusiasts of this distillery. This Torabhaig Allt Gleann Batch Strength Legacy Series consists of whisky peated malt distilled in 2017 and 2018, with refinement in first fill or refill ex-bourbon barrels, then selecting and combining a maximum of 30 barrels for each batch. A nice way to start making your way into the wide and complex world of whisky.
