Whisky Tormore 13 Year Old Gordon & Macphail

700ml BOTTLE

Tormore is a little-known distillery when it comes to Scotland, having made up for most of its production with the Long John blend and only for a few years it has been possible to taste the spirit in purity. The distillery has a peculiar history linked to the founder, Lewis Rosenstiel, who is said to have been a supporter of the American mafia and who set out to create his own distillery whisky in Scotland, founded in 1959. From 1961 on Tormore produces whisky but until 2004 it is not possible to taste a whisky branded Tormore. Since 2005 it has been owned by the multinational group Pernod Ricard, but it remains difficult to taste a whisky of this distillery, especially if bottled by independent companies, like this bottle.

Gordon & MacPhail remains one of the most important independent Scottish bottlers and has decided to give voice to many distilleries: the Discovery line allows you to approach these distilleries starting from a young product, in this case 13 years of aging spent in oak barrels which previously they contained Bourbon whiskey.

TASTE: Intense, cereal biscuits and vanilla, then ripe fruit and citrus, orange peel and green apple.

AGING: American ex Bourbon oak barrels.

Distillates
Finishing American ex Bourbon oak barrels.
AROMA Beautiful tension, fruity notes dominate with apple and grapefruit, mown lawn and spices.
