Angel's Envy Bourbon Port Finish is no mere Kentucky Straight Whiskey like many others but it is also one of the first whiskey stars and stripes with a slightly different refinement than usual, i.e. with a final stay of a few months in barrels that previously contained Port, as far as we know for a period of between 3 and 6 months depending on the whiskey original, aged instead in the classic American Standard Barrels. This expedient was studied and put into practice by Lincoln Henderson, the man behind Angel's Envy, one of the best known and most respected Master Distillers in the United States, having worked for many years at Brown Forman (the holding company that owns Jack Daniel's) and having created the Woodford Reserve and Gentleman Jack for Jack Daniel's itself. The recipe behind this Angel's Envy Bourbon Port Finish is a blend of 72% corn, 18% rye and the remaining 10% barley. Every bottle of this whiskey comes from small batches hand selected within the distillery warehouses.

TASTE: More vanilla and spices, dried fruit and almonds, light caramel toast and wildflower honey
