Whiskey American Eagle 4 Year Old
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
A Bourbon whiskey who speaks both American English and British English: American Eagle was born in the United States of America but was conceived and wanted for the subjects of Queen Elizabeth II, so to speak. American Eagle 4 Year Old is in fact the result of a long selection by Halewood Wine & Spirits, a company engaged in the distribution of wine and spirits in Great Britain.
A few years ago, the company saw fit to broaden its offer by also including distillates selected from all over the world as private labels, i.e. without specifying the distillery of origin, but only mentioning the specificity of the distillate in the bottle, i.e. the country of origin. American Eagle 4 Year Old was born in Tennessee from an unknown distillery (you can always try to guess…) and the starting cereal mix, the so-called MashBill, is made up of 84% corn and the rest from unspecified cereals. The refinement lasts for four years in American oak barrels of virgin wood, according to the American tradition. It is characterized by being a whiskey entry and approach to the world of bourbon: the decision to include the years of aging is to be appreciated.
TASTE: The note of ripe fruit reappears, with the addition of caramel, orange peel and candied fruit. Good spiciness of white pepper, a touch of vanilla and butter, heaven cake, for an enveloping finish.
AGING: Virgin American oak barrels.
