Arran Kildonan & Pladda Island 21 Year Old Vol.3 is not a whisky like so many but it is the third volume of the series that the Arran distillery has designed to pay homage to the splendid setting in which the distillery stands, or the Isle of Arran. Since 1992 Arran has been proposing a series of whisky of high level, reaching the palates of experts and enthusiasts from all over the world and winning prizes and awards almost everywhere, thanks to a rigorous style that is never out of the ordinary. With this Arran Kildonan & Pladda Island 21 Year Old Vol.3 the distillery decided to try something new and the refinement takes place in a mix of ex bourbon and ex sherry casks before a passage in casks that have contained Port. The name Arran Kildonan & Pladda Island 21 Year Old Vol.3 derives from the small island of Pladda, just a few steps from the Isle of Arran, on which there is a lighthouse - still active - from 1790. Extremely limited series.
