Girvan 21Year Old The Clan Denny Douglas Hamilton Company
700ml BOTTLE
Girvan 21 Year Old The Clan Denny Douglas Hamilton Company is a whisky of Scottish wheat from the Girvan distillery and selected by the independent bottler Douglas Hamilton. THE whisky of wheat are not very frequent because in Scotland (but also elsewhere) they are mainly used to give body to blended malts: the whisky of wheat in fact needs many years to take on an important character and for this reason few exist whisky of wheat with age declared on the shoulders. The refinement for these products must exceed a decade and often goes beyond: in this case with Girvan 21 Year Old The Clan Denny Douglas Hamilton Company the independent bottler has selected a single barrel (number DH 10998) and has seen fit to bottle it after twenty-one years of refinement, maintaining the original strength to deliver the proud essence of this whisky, without dilution. Girvan is a distillery of enormous dimensions, managing to produce up to 15 million liters of alcohol per year, almost all of which is used for the blended wines of the William Grant & Sons group of which it is part. Being able to taste a Single Grain version is a unique opportunity.
