Hampden Estate 8 Year Old Rum
Hampden Estate 8 Year Old is a rum recently released by Hampden, a Jamaican distillery considered one of the most prestigious when it comes to transforming sugar cane into liquid gold. The Hampden distillery is located in an uncontaminated area of Jamaica and this guarantees particular attention in the supply of raw materials, as well as having a centuries-old history behind it: the distillery was in fact founded in 1753 and with the current ownership in 2009 , then giving life to a small number of labels of indisputable value. The Hampden distillery sources water from a spring near the plant, as well as proceeding with spontaneous fermentation and 100% pot still distillation. The refinement takes place on site with the annual evaporation being much more important than in more temperate climates, giving life to products of discrete evolution. Last distinctive touch, the complete absence of sugar or caramel to the final result, giving life to original products and identity of the territory and of the Distillery. This Hampden Estate 8 Year Old ages for eight years in the tropics and is delivered at 46% vol.
