Hart Brothers Balmenach 8 Year Old
700ml BOTTLE
Hart Brothers Balmenach 8 Year Old is a whisky Scottish from a little-known distillery, namely Balmenach, responsible for rare expressions that can be purchased in Europe. Balmenach is a Scottish Speyside distillery founded in 1824 but probably already active previously, completely renovated in 1968 and closed for a couple of decades following the Whisky Lock, now belonging to the Inver House group which deals with this and other distilleries. Defining a unique character for Balmenach is difficult precisely because of the rarity with which tasters put their noses into whisky of this producer, having to settle for a few dozen bottlings including this one, wisely selected by Hart Brothers, a long-standing independent Scottish bottler based in Glasgow. This cask is a single cask and the whisky he spent over 8 years there, from January 2015 to January 2023, before the bottle. We reiterate: this is one of the rare possibilities to taste a whisky authentic Balmenach, generally intended for blended whisky.
