James Eadie Glen Ord 9 Year Old is a small selection resulting from the choice to combine three barrels of the same whisky, three unique barrels that give life to a high level distillate, worthy representative of the distillery of origin. James Eadie takes care of the selection and bottling of whisky for over 150 years, going to find also and above all whisky not very well known just to give their contribution and make known whisky less appreciated.
In this case Glen Ord is a giant of Scottish distillation because it is able to produce 11 million liters a year, an enormous number which however goes almost entirely to build blends of the Diageo group, of which it belongs. Only a small percentage is collected for official bottling, as in this case: three barrels selected and combined for one whisky rare and of great value.
