BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Prohibition was a terrible time in the history of the United States: the consumption of alcohol was banned and most of the distilleries had to close their doors. The barrels of whiskey they have been confiscated and more often than not sold on the smuggling market. The effects of Prohibition were exclusively negative: alcohol continued to circulate everywhere above all thanks to the underworld which made its fortune here (not only Al Capone but also other illustrious ones, including the Kennedy family). The whiskey smuggled distillate did not have the same quality as the official distilleries, causing far greater damage to consumers than the whiskey controlled by the state.
This Kentucky Owl Confiscated is a tribute to the grandfather of the owner of the CMDedman brand: his grandson Dixon Dedman decided to create a whiskey to commemorate the barrels confiscated from his grandfather shortly before Prohibition, barrels that have disappeared forever and that today, ideally, should live again in this bottle and in the others in the Kentucky Owl series.
