This spectacular whiskey is produced in Clermont, Kentucky, where the Knob Creek company has created a range of Straights whiskey of considerable importance. In detail, this Knob Creek 9 Year Old was bottled at a full strength of 100 proof or 50% volume to give it the aromas and structure of the old whiskey Americans prior to the Prohibition era. Its production is in limited quantities and the labeling is done by hand. Aged for 9 years in American oak barrels, it is soft, full and satisfying. An up and down of aromas between chocolate and spices as well as the ever-present vanilla aroma that even hovers in the air of their barriques.
