Macallan 18 Year Old Double Cask Release 2020 has an undeniable class known to all enthusiasts in the world, thanks to an important history behind it which has sanctioned its enviable successes. In recent years Macallan's position has risen again thanks to the new construction around the distillery which closely resembles the architectural grandeur of the Bordeaux wine château. Since 1826 the whisky by Macallan is undoubtedly one of the most important in the world, thanks to an obsessive care in the choice of raw materials, not excluding the barrels which are followed by the growth of the oak to the bending of the staves to the toasting. In this case, The Macallan 18 Years Double Cask reaffirms the choice of aging in casks containing sherry, with two types of oak, American and European, which come together in a marriage that is impossible not to love. The technical prowess in the distillation does the rest, bringing this whisky, like the others of the distillery, high up in the Olympus of the scotch classy.

TASTE: intense and round, notes of caramel and red fruit, honey and ripe fruit, together with black pepper, cinnamon, honey and bitter cocoa. 

AGING: ex sherry American and European oak casks.
