Edition No. 6 is the sixth release, presented by Macallan in 2020, and the last of its limited edition "The Edition Series" range; this expression wants to pay homage and celebrate the natural wonders that occupy the soil of the Macallan estate and in particular of the river that flows around it, the Spey. It is aged in a combination of five American and Spanish oak barrels which have matured in ex Sherry Oloroso.
TASTE: Notes of plum and sweet oranges, cinnamon with nutmeg and hints of oak, toffee and oats. Long finish with fresh fruit and spices, which turn into creamy chocolate and toasted oats.
AGING: European and American seasoned oak barrels ex Sherry Oloroso.
