Whisky Michter's Us Small Batch Original Sour Mash
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Michter's Us Small Batch Original Sour Mash is the return to the origins for Michter's, one of the most evocative and appreciated distilleries in the United States. The history of Michter's takes us back a few centuries: the distillery was founded in 1753 and since then it has never stopped distilling and marketing its own whiskey, faithful to the Kentucky tradition of which Michter's is certainly one of the best interpreters. The company tradition has always been linked to the mixture used in the sour mash, i.e. the "mash" of cereals, water and yeast in the first phase of the production process.
In this case the distillery has decided to use rye, corn and barley malt to construct this whiskey: aging is, as always, entrusted to charred American oak barrels. This whiskey it was the distillery's top seller in the 70s and 80s: taken off the market in 1989, it was put back online in 2012 and has never ceased to fascinate palates around the world ever since.
TASTE: Intense and spicy with notes of vanilla, honey and dried fruit, ripe fruit and wood.
AGING: Virgin charred American white oak barrels.
