Monymusk Special Reserve 10 Year Old is a rum produced in Jamaica and with an exceptionally long refinement of over ten years in American oak barrels, with a decidedly higher tropical evaporation than in the rest of the world. This exaggerated evaporation makes it difficult to keep a distillate in cask for a few years, let alone for over ten: this Monymusk Special Reserve 10 Year Old is an elderly gentleman but with elegance and class to spare, being able to count on the Monymusk brand as a guarantee. Monymusk is a brand that has existed since 1755, when this sugar cane plantation was founded in Jamaica which, over the years, also began to get involved in distillation. This rum is nothing other than the special selection with long aging, the production method involves distillation both in a column still and in a pot still, combining the two styles and giving a different vision of the same material, with the two styles compensating and giving voice to an extremely elegant rum, of great finesse and with bewitching tasting notes. Monymusk Special Reserve 10 Year Old is one of the few possibilities to taste a long-aged rum, an example of how distillation is inherent in the DNA in Jamaica and the Caribbean.
