Octomore Edition 07.2 5 Year Old is one of the first editions of Octomore, namely the whisky most peated in the world, produced on the Scottish island of Islay and precisely in the Bruichladdich distillery. Octomore's experiment is due to the vision of the distillery, always at the forefront to innovate the product and to give something special to enthusiasts from all over the world, in this case the fanatics of peat which here reaches the dizzying figure of 208 PPM. or parts per million.
If you think a whisky very peated it reaches about 55/60 PPM you can understand the real difference between this Octomore and any other whisky very peat: in this bottle the peat is high but it is not oppressive, giving unique nuances to the wine whisky. As if that weren't enough, the aging is divided between barrels that previously contained Bourbon and barrels that previously contained Syrah wine from the Cote du Rhone, the famous French production area of great reds.
TASTE: Dense smoke, important intensity with smoky, spicy and peaty notes, iodine and citrus.
