Poli Distillery
Poli Distillerie is a grappa producer located in Veneto in the area near Bassano del Grappa, founded in Schiavon in 1898 by GioBatta Poli.
In 1922 the founder's sons opened two more distilleries and the company name was changed to Poli Distillerie. The company subsequently passed from father to son, up to the present day with the great-grandchildren to carry on the family business.
Giampaolo, Barbara, Andrea and Jacopo Poli currently control the company, which over time has managed to expand to become one of the largest artisan producers of grappa in Italy. In over 100 years of history, the Poli family has only produced grappa, but in 2012 a new product was added, Distilled Gin Marconi 46, born from a commercial collaboration with the Meregalli Group.
The real change took place in 2013 when the most illustrious citizen of Schiavon, Monsignor Parolin, was appointed Secretary of State of the Holy See; the company decides to pay homage to the fellow citizen with a special product: in 2021 the first 1898 bottles of Secretary of State are bottled, the whisky Italian from the Poli Distilleries.
