Shizuoka Pot Still "W" First Edition is a whisky of rare charm coming from the Shizuoka distillery, in Japan, founded in 2017 and in a short time rose to the headlines of the world of whisky. Shizuoka immediately focused on high quality products with a rather low number of bottles produced, so as to be able to select only the best barrels to use for their labels. Also being able to count on a discrete difference in the stills present in the company, Shizuoka has set up a project to discover these stills, entrusting each one with some labels, such as this Shizuoka Pot Still "W" First Edition: the W still is the direct heating alembic and for this whisky Both peated and unpeated Scottish barley malt and German barley malt were used. The refinement took place in virgin oak and ex bourbon barrels.
