Talisker is undoubtedly one of the most evocative Scottish distilleries, thanks to its geographical location on the Isle of Skye, in the north of Scotland, facing the ocean with its brackish and iodized charge that gives it an even more exclusive and personal character. Talisker represents one of the most famous distilleries in the world thanks to its character and a great work in the expansion phase of the brand, one of the spearheads of Diageo.
Talisker has churned out many excellent bottles and for some years has expanded its portfolio by adding some releases with no age declaration, including this Storm (or storm in English), a whisky dedicated to the most tumultuous soul of the sea overlooked by Talisker. The peat percentage is the same as all Taliskers but the choice to add whisky younger to the mixture completes the picture by adding vivacity and youth to the whisky.

TASTE
Strong, above average, black pepper and peat, smoky notes of bacon, fireplace wood and small berries. Hints of lemon and citrus, citrus and spicy notes, of great character. Long smoked stay.

American and European oak barrels.

It doesn't seem to have been difficult for the Talisker team to come up with an appropriate name for it whisky: the distillery is located on the Isle of Skye a few steps from the Atlantic Ocean and furious storms are the order of the day. Dealing with the most pristine and wild nature is a challenge that the distillery has been pursuing for decades, thanks to the adaptability of man who has managed to survive and thrive in these desolate lands.
The storm referred to on the label also signals the use of unconventional barrels, which today are giving life to different ones whisky with this characteristic, thanks to the carbonization which adds several interesting and intriguing notes, especially if combined with whisky already able to amaze for its character and gustatory vehemence. Nonetheless, Talisker Storm is a whisky even for beginners, being able to count on a gustatory refinement that few can afford.
