The Koshi-No Shinobu Pure Malt 10 Years Old Lightly Peated Mizunara Oak is one of the other new additions from the Shinobu distillery. The world famous Master Blender Mr.Usami Ken creates Blended Malts focusing on the maturation of whisky. Usami Ken has a particular focus on using casks for the aging of whisky of this range.
The Koshi-No Shinobu Pure Malt 10 Years Old Lightly Peated Mizunara Oak is a blend of malts aged for more than 10 years in ex-Sherry, ex-Bourbon and Hogshead barrels before being blended and matured in the famous barrels of Mizunara oak. The blend created is slightly peaty but intensely aromatic. The Shinobu distillery does not add color to its distillates and above all carries out a cold filtration to maintain the spicy, sweet and soft notes that the highly sought-after Japanese barrel gives it.
TASTE: Clear notes of caramel and coffee, then intense and spicy with toasted, smoked and even brackish flavors. Very persistent
