The Koshi-No Shinobu Pure Malt 15 Year Old Mizunara Oak is a whisky 100% Japanese from whisky of malted barley, union of whisky from various distilleries. In Japan it is customary that most of the whisky offered on the market are not produced by a single distillery but are the result of the union of various barrels from different distilleries. The secret is kept by the master blender, i.e. by the one who must take charge of the selection and consequent union of these barrels in order to have a whisky balanced and with character. In this case the master blender Ken Usami also wanted to exploit a peculiar final refinement, in Mizunara oak barrels which is Japanese oak, with a completely different porosity from the classic American or European ones. A refinement of great importance.
