Whisky Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Cask Finish
700ml BOTTLE
Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Cask Finish is a whisky peculiar, distilled at Tullibardine and aged for a final period in oak barrels which previously contained Pinot Noir from Burgundy, from the Picard family cellar. The name Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Cask Finish therefore also refers to the capacity of each single barrique, i.e. 228 litres: a size similar to that of the classic 225 liter American oak barrels but with the addition of the previous step with red Burgundy wine, from one of the best-known areas in the world, with constantly rising prices. Tullibardine was founded in 1949 and resumed distilling in 2003, being purchased by the Picard family in 2011: this Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Cask Finish represents the common thread between the two companies of the same family.
