Whisky Akashi 4 Year Old Red Wine Cask
500ml BOTTLE
Akashi 4 Year Old Red Wine Cask is one of the rare expressions with an indication of age for this brand which is part of the White Oak group, owner of some Japanese distilleries and has always been in contact with the world of whisky Scottish. The actual distillery is called Eigashima and is located in the Honshu – Hyogo region: for this Akashi 4 Year Old Red Wine Cask a unique refinement was chosen which sees the distillate wait for three and a half years in barrels that previously contained French cognac and a final period of about ten months in barrels that previously contained Japanese red wine.
This process gives the white distillate various peculiar notes, expanding the aromatic baggage for one of the Japanese brands that has risen most in recent years, thanks to the consistently high quality and in-depth research in terms of refinement.
TASTE: Soft and decisive with notes of wood, spices, dried fruit and citrus.
AGING: Ex Cognac barrels and 10 months finish in ex red wine barrels.
