Akashi Crafted By Toji is not the usual whisky Japanese but the sum of the knowledge of sake distillation put to the service of the distillation of whisky. Akashi Crafted By Toji is produced by the White Oak distillery, a distillery near the town of Akashi and even founded in 1919 initially for the production of sake. Given the success of the whisky Japanese, a few decades ago Akashi decided to start distilling whisky and – given the far more than promising results – has put a batch of labels on the market, including this Akashi Crafted By Toji that has been around for a few years. Akashi Crafted By Toji is named after the word Toji which identifies the highest authorities in the field of sake distillation, an appointment that only a few people can boast of having and which consists of the maximum knowledge in sake distillation. After finalizing some details, local Toji of the White Oak Distillery agreed to distill whisky and this bottle is the result of this union of cultures.
